DISCLAIMER – Jordan no longer writes for this blog

Classic and cult film fan residing in the picturesque Tasmania; the greatest place on Earth (some would say).

I believe that a truly great film can speak for an entire generation and encapsulate a period in time, and that the lasting impact of a Stanley Kubrick or Hayao Miyazaki speaks volumes for the power of immaculately constructed moving images.

… I also believe that the Resident Evil movies are brilliantly unadulterated guilty pleasures… and I love them.

Feel free to leave me a comment if you agree with my reviews, or more importantly, if you disagree!

Movies. How many things in life can make someone angry, make someone laugh, make a grown man weep and make a young girl swoon perhaps all in the space of a few minutes?

Anyone that says they do not like or enjoy movies is truly stone-hearted. I am an out and about loud and proud movie fanatic watching films with interest from a young age. Films of all shapes and sizes can be enjoyed and I pride myself on judging a movie on what it set out to achieve. I do not snob a film because it is directed by Michael Bay, I don’t judge Hot Rod on it’s script or film production quality’s.

All films deserve a fair go (unless it’s a Resident Evil flick) and I will endeavour to enlighten the masses on this wonderful medium.

  3. Hi Jordan and Eddie, like we talked about, we would love to have you guys review a movie for us so we can share your passion to our fans and hopefully have your fans see ours too 🙂 Any movie in particular you wanted to do?

  4. Hey guys!
I am a journalist, currently studying at the Unversity of westminster and I was wondering whether I could get in touch with you for a feature that I’m working on.
I really like your blog and I admire your work. It would be great to get your quotes on my film-related feature.
    Cheers,
    Maria 🙂

    • Haha, thanks mate! It’s pretty easy putting work into something when you’re passionate about it. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on some of the films we cover!
      Jordan

  5. This is one of my favourite movie blogs online. Great reviews, and a good read. We share a lot of movie opinions! Keep it up guys 🙂

  9. Hey thx for stoping at my blog and liking some things. I will subscribe via email if you subscribe via email too. Is that a deal? And also how did you like the review? Any tips?
    Thanks,

  10. Thanks for dropping by my page. Although it was my first time to do a film review, it was nice to know that film critiques like you liked the way I wrote mine. Maybe — just maybe — I would do more reviews since I love watching films and television series, too. 🙂

  11. Hi guys and thanks for the like of my post about Transsiberian. I don’t get to the cinema often, it’s a fair hike to any of them from Geeveston so I practically never see movies when they are first released. I’ll be checking out some of your reviews.

  12. I agree wholeheartedly with Jordan regarding the Resident Evil movies. Watching them, you can’t tell if the filmmakers are trying too hard, or not at all. Pure, shameless fun.

BTW, thanks for the Like on my Dawn of the Planet of the Apes “review.” I’ll definitely be back to your guys’ blog!

  13. I went through both lists of your top 30 films, and it was not until the second list, third from the bottom that either of you mentioned the greatest film ever made. At least you both had John Carpenter’s The Thing on your lists. I’m going to click the follow button so that I can come back here and remind you on a regular basis that you missed it.

    • If that’s Jaws mate then I am glad you agree, I love Jaws and I know Jordan does to. Feel free to remind us about Jaws on a regular occasion. P.S – Long live The Thing!
      Eddie

  14. Looking at your categories. Do Australians consider US and British films “Foreign Films?” Or does “foreign” mean “not in English?”
